Procast Group takes national insulation and fabric installer title at Energy Efficiency Awards

The Hamilton-based retrofit contractor said the national title at the 9 October ceremony in Birmingham followed a regional win in the same category in June and a year of awards and new work.

Procast Group has won the national insulation and fabric installer title at the Energy Efficiency Awards, the retrofit contractor said, at a ceremony held in Birmingham on 9 October.

The company's announcement calls the award National Insulation & Fabric Installer of the Year 2026. Procast said it also sponsored the National Quality Management, Compliance & Training Company of the Year award at the same event and was shortlisted for two further awards.

Kirstie Adams, Support Services Director at Procast Group, said: "This award reflect the hard work, expertise and dedication shown by our teams every day as they continue delivering high-quality retrofit and energy-efficiency projects across the UK."

Procast describes the Energy Efficiency Awards as a UK-wide scheme that rewards organisations and individuals for improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and raising standards across the built environment.

The regional win

The company said the national award followed its regional win in the same category in June. Procast's July announcement of that result said it won two awards at the Energy Efficiency Awards on 12 June, including Regional Insulation & Fabric Installer and Contractor of the Year.

At the June event, apprentice electrician Cameron Sleith was named Apprentice of the Year, according to Procast, on the same day he completed his four-year apprenticeship with the company.

Retrofit workload

The award comes as Procast delivers up to £5.2m of energy efficiency upgrades in the Westmorland and Furness area. The company said the contract covers around 420 fuel-poor homes and forms Lot 1 of the Westmorland & Furness Council Retrofit Delivery scheme.

The work is part of a wider £11.8m programme to improve homes and cut carbon emissions in Cumbria, Procast said, funded through the Warm Homes Local Grant from the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero. Measures include insulation, solar photovoltaic panels, heat pumps and battery storage.

In August, Procast said it had joined Heat Network Scotland to support the decarbonisation of heat.

Skills and workforce

Procast employs more than 130 staff, according to the company, and more than 10% of its workforce are apprentices. It was named SME Employer of the Year at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards, held in Glasgow on 26 February 2026.

The group says it operates UK-wide and offers full turnkey retrofit services through divisions including Procast Building Contractors, Procast Property Services and Procast Energy Services. Companies House records Procast Building Contractors Ltd at 4 Alness Street, Hamilton.

Adams said the awards were "a fantastic celebration of the people and organisations driving progress across the sector".

The 9 October ceremony was Procast's second insulation and fabric award of 2026, following the regional title on 12 June.
